Volunteering at Acord Ford Pantry- a great way for our parish to be ‘seen’ helping our local community and those in need.

Jim Reynolds and Sandy Friedrich have been regular volunteers at Acord in Hamilton. Sam Burr, 16, (son of Donna and Jeff Burr) helps Jim on a regular basis.

Jim writes; “…volunteering at Acord is humbling … fulfilling the immediate needs of folks from our surrounding community. The people we meet briefly and help select food for the upcoming three days are extremely polite, humble and thankful. The experience will bring you closer to God, His goodness and an understanding and empathy for the needs of others.”

The time as volunteers is spent helping organize incoming donated farm-grown food from the CSA at Appleton Farms (and other local farms). Dates of all donated drinks and canned goods must checked to ensure the date is current. All items need to be organized and shelved.

We truly hope that there will be a great interest on the part of our Christ Church community so that there are many more volunteers to work from 9:45 AM – Noon.  If you can help in this way, please contact Sandy Friedrich or Jim Reynolds (978)468-4268.
