 Christ Church has developed an exciting, nonprofit SAT tutoring program in partnership with the Reverend Eric Hillegas of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Dorchester. Episcopal City Tutoring facilitates the highest quality private tutoring while supporting education in low-income neighborhoods. This nonprofit model allows us to provide tutoring to North Shore families at nearly half the price of competing programs.
Spread the wordOn August 5th we will begin a 10-week curriculum to prepare students for the October 9th SAT. Individual tutoring sessions will be held at Christ Church on Thursday evenings from 6-9 PM, as well as Saturday mornings from 10AM-1PM. Using the College Board Official SAT Study Guide, students will be tutored for one 90-minute session each week leading up to the exam.
Tuition is set at a highly competitive price of $80.00 per week, with some scholarships available. In partnership with Episcopal City Mission and our tutoring center in Dorchester, tuition payments from North Shore families will directly reduce the cost of SAT tutoring in underserved urban areas.
We invite parents and students to participate in this unique opportunity to promote education in low-income neighborhoods while they study for their own SATs, and to spread the word about this new opportunity. At this time, space is limited to sixteen families.
